Nia
The only one in Willowbrook who notices the clue everyone else missed, and the only one brave enough to knock on the Castle gates.
A village with perfect rhythm. A Castle with a dark secret. And a storm that arrives right on time. By NIKI S.
Nia loves living in Willowbrook Village: a happy place filled with friendly neighbors, storytelling elders, and plenty of room to play with her best friend, a puppy named Cos. But there is one shadow hanging over her sunny home: the Castle on the hill.
Big, dark, and completely empty, the Castle is a place forbidden to children. The villagers say it brings bad luck, and for years, the only sound coming from the hill has been the hourly bell of the giant Clock Tower. But when a polite, well-dressed stranger visits Willowbrook and leaves under mysterious circumstances, the weather turns wild. Every day at exactly noon, the skies open up and pour rain, flooding the playgrounds and drowning the farms.
The grown-ups are confused. The guards are baffled. But Nia notices a clue that everyone else missed. With the village drowning in water and boredom, she decides to do the one thing she is never supposed to do: gather her courage, march up the dark, narrow road, and knock on the gates of the forbidden Castle.
"The stranger might not be as far away as people think."

Nia's best friend and playmate, always ready for whatever adventure the hill has in store.
